What inspired you to become a teacher?
I went into a medical science program to become a doctor. I had to take a semester off from breaking my pelvis. During that time off I realized I loved teaching to the people I studied with.
What is the most rewarding part of being a teacher?
Definitely the relationships with students and getting to grow their understanding of chemistry.
What's one lesson you hope your students remember forever?
That they remember that I cared and wanted them to move forward. Also everything that I pushed them on was to benefit them for their next step.
What are three words your students would use to describe you?
Hopefully capable, patient, and probably.weird.
How do you define success for students beyond grades and test scores?
When one student has made personal growth. By the end of the year they realize they may not have been able to do it originally but now they can.
