GHS Head Principal- Cody Zumbro
1. How would you describe our school's culture or community?
"Each year that we perform well in the classroom, each year that we perform well in the arts and athletics, I think our culture just grows more positive. I think Germantown High School is well respected in the community and in the state of Mississippi. We are the highest performing high school in the metro area when it comes to accountability. "
2. What legacy do you hope to leave as a principal?
"I want students to know that I care about them more than the test scores and the state championships. When students graduate, I hope they understand how much I cared for them being successful."
3. What is the best part of your day as a principal?
"The students are the best part of my day, just talking with them and seeing them smile. I get disappointed when I see somebody that doesn't enjoy school. All of our teachers and staff work really hard to make it a great place."
4. What have you learned from students during your time as a principal?
"I learn a lot everyday, I make mistakes on a daily basis. I think students have taught me that it's ok to make mistakes. I learn from my mistakes just like students learn from their mistakes. I think the biggest thing I've learned is everybody deserves respect, and everybody deserves to be treated fairly."
5. What makes our school standout compared to others in the district?
"We're number one. There is no other school in the state walking around with a band championship, choir championship, football team with a really good chance in the playoffs, and basketball championship. The high level that our students perform at on the field and in the classroom is
unbelievable."
